Chris Wedge, director of the animated hits Epic and Ice Age, heads to Vancouver this spring for his first foray into live-action directing, with the new action-adventure feature Monster Trucks.
The plot is being kept under wraps, but online chatter suggests the movie will be a live-action computer-animated hybrid putting actors in computer-generated environments the way James Cameron did in Avatar.
Filiming is set to start in early April 2014 and will wrap in late July. No word yet on casting.
The new movie already has a release date set of May 29, 2015.
